There's nothing worse than when the person who is your immediate superior thinks that they have absolute control over you. Just because they happen to have stumbled their way into a position with a semblance of power over you... they think that they rule you in your entirety. Chances are that these people aren't 'true' leaders and have no idea how to inspire and instill loyalty in their followers.
Instead, devoid and utterly unaware of a thing called empathy, these walking 'peter-principles' make a vain attempt to rule their modern-day serfs with an iron fist.
It must be satisfying to rip down the facade and expose their power for the sham that it is, as our hero has done here. This is the kind of pushback we like to see.
Trouble was brewing between u/seb__brown, Sebastian, and their boss, "Austin". Austin refused to stay late to help out with extra tasks that needed to be done and insisted on piling more and more tasks onto Sebastian's plate.
